A skill supplies reusable instructions and resources. An app supplies connected capabilities. A plugin can combine them. Show the skill instructions and a sample result for review. Explain any installation or execution requirement before setup.

New portable packages use root plugin.json; skills live under skills/. Include mcp.json only for bundled MCP servers. The .codex-plugin/plugin.json compatibility layout is also supported. On ChatGPT web, eligible owners/admins with upload access use Admin console → select workspace → Plugins → Add → Upload plugin. For this exercise, inspect every packaged file. Remove credentials and private sample data. KNOW WHAT WILL RUN
Local MCP tools need their computer and runtime. Saving the plugin does not move them to the cloud. Plugin extensions ↗For a slide workflow, test the actual PPTX export, fonts and editability.
